From record sleeves to gig posters, to magazines and trade show catalogues. Corporate brochures and adverts, I've designed 'em all. I love designing for print.
When it comes to web design I am comfortable with CSS and HTML, and have developed my own themes for websites running on Wordpress. I've also helped adapt pre-bought Wordpress templates to better suit clients' needs. I strive to create functional sites with a touch of visual flair and always make sure my builds are responsive for optimum viewing across all platforms.
Graphic / Web Designer at Dan Reeves Design
January 2008 – Present Brighton, UK
I’ve been freelancing for many years, alongside full-time employment. I’m fortunate that this is work I can pick and choose, working for clients that I respect or am interested in. I have been commissioned to produce work for record labels, bands, gig promoters and film directors. I’m passionate about my freelance work, and like to work with illustration as well as photography, something I rarely got a chance to do in my day job. Recent jobs include T-shirt designs for Paul McCartney and Deftones via an international merchandising company, ongoing art direction and design for Faux Discx records, and custom Wordpress based website designs for freelance writers and photographers.
Graphic / Web Designer at Diversified Communications UK
November 2007 – December 2015 Brighton, UK
Up until late 2012 my main role at Diversified Communications was the design of Natural Products magazine, the leading trade magazine for the natural and organic sector. I produced the whole magazine, including design, layout, image and advertisement management. I also liaised with the printers and approved artwork before it was sent to print. I redesigned the magazine in January 2009. Post 2012 I contributed to the marketing materials for all of the company’s trade shows including Natural & Organic Products Europe, office* and camexpo, as well as award-winning shows such as lunch!, Casual Dining and Natural Products Scandinavia. Following a short period of training, I then went on to design, build (in Wordpress) and maintain websites for all the shows and publications that the company runs.
